Steele Platt, founder of national sports bar chain Yard House, is selling this five-bedroom home in La Quinta, California's exclusive Madison Club development-where neighbors include an array of celebrities and business leaders, according to listing agent Valery Neuman of Compass.
Eisenhower, who later served as U.S. president from 1953-61, lived at a small cottage formerly on the homesite while planning Operation Torch, the Allied invasion of North Africa, and Operation Overlord, the codename for D-Day. He even painted the cottage in an oil on canvas that was sold at auction in 2014.
